In 2008, major award-winning pop-rock band Tokio Hotel, made seven holographic appearances in shopping malls across Europe, resulting in the world’s first ever virtual music tour. The publicity and hype generated from the performances stand as proof of the sheer scale and impact a holographic tour can have without a single band member even being present. The event coincided with the launch of Musion’s flame retardant foil for unrivalled event safety.
“The quality of the images is amazing… By transplanting innovative AV technology into a physical retail space, Musion enabled us to create a Tokio Hotel universe within each store. As the tour draws to a close we can already see the fantastic results, with audiences of up to 700 fans at each store.”
