During 16th-18th of June 2017 the Musion 3D holographic technology was incorporated into the global premiere of conceptual performance “2047 Apologue” at the National Center for Performing Arts in Beijing, directed by internationally acclaimed film director Zhang Yimou.
“2047 Apologue” aims to start a conversation about the relationship between people and technology and where this relationship is heading through the use of traditional martial arts, folk dance, music performance and a rich collection of Chinese artworks. The holographic fragment featured award winning modern dance performers Li Yu and Hu Jie perform to the antique WanWan Qiang opera.
Director Zhang Yimou said: “Humankind has been so smart in developing technology that kills; the Americans are especially strong in that, right?” said Zhang. “When technology has become weapons that help us to kill, what is the relationship between it and us? Will it be used on you one day?”
